Dr. Santarelli is a board certified neurosurgeon specializing in cerebrovascular disease. He has training and expertise in the surgical management of stroke, cerebral hemorrhage, brain aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations (AVMs).

Dr. Santarelli graduated from Yale College and Stanford Medical School. At Stanford, he also completed residency in neurological surgery and fellowship in interventional neuroradiology. After leaving Stanford, he practiced neurosurgery for three years at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA. He has been at Westchester Medical Center for seven years and performs 400 minimally invasive neurosurgical procedures annually.

Dr. Santarelli speaks English, Spanish and German. He empowers and educates his patients to play a fundamental part in the decision-making process. His research interests include outcome studies and new device technology.
