Immunity and COVID-19: the Good, the Bad, the Ugly

The Intra-Abdominal Transplant Program at Westchester Medical Center is very proud to host its third webinar of 2021. On June 21, 2021, Dr. Abhay Dhand, Director of Transplant Infectious Diseases and the Antibiotic Stewardship, will speak about "Immunity and COVID-19: the Good, the Bad, the Ugly." This webinar will review the role of immune response in pathogenesis or SARS-COV-2 infection, active and passive immunity for treatment and prevention of COVID, SARS-COV-2 variants and how they can impact vaccination and spread of infection, and the light at the end of the tunnel. The webinar will also highlight WMC innovations in the field of COVID-19 and solid organ transplantation.
