Francis X. Carroll, M.D., FACS, was born, educated and trained in New York City. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he received a B.A. degree from New York University and his M.D. degree from the SUNY College of Medicine in Brooklyn. Dr. Carroll completed his residency in general surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan and specialty fellowship training in Cardiovascular Surgery at SUNY Brooklyn.
Dr. Carroll is double board certified in surgery and thoracic surgery. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the New York Society of Vascular Surgeons. In addition, he serves as Chief of Thoracic Surgery at Putnam Hospital Center and Northern Westchester Hospital, Medical Director of the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine at Putnam Hospital, and is President of the Putnam County Medical Society.
