National Falls Prevention and Awareness Week

Monday, September 19, 2022
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Falls Prevention Awareness Week is a national health campaign with the goal of increasing awareness of falls, health and injury prevention.

Join us on Monday September 19, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Westchester Medical Center in the Main Concourse for a nationwide observance to raise awareness of fall prevention and reduce the risk of falls. And help older adults live a safer life without the fear of falling.

Falls continue to be a national public health concern.

  • Learn about our resources and strengthen community connections to maximize your impact for the 2022 observation of Fall Prevention and Awareness.
  • Discover the value of information, education and awareness and your role in falls prevention.
  • Improve your knowledge of how serious falls can be, especially for older adults, and of how to help them avoid falls-related hospitalization.

Stop by our table and say hello to the falls prevention and awareness professionals from WMCHealth and the Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services and see if you or a family member may be at risk for falling!
