Nephrology

The Department of Nephrology offers complete diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with kidney diseases and hypertension. Our fully trained UNOS-certified staff includes experts in kidney transplants and pre- and post-operative transplant care. We maintain a state-of-the-art dialysis facility which performs approximately 45,000 hemodialyses each year.

Nephrologists work closely with the Departments of Surgery for kidney transplantations, offering pre- and post-transplant counseling for patients and family members, as well as the latest therapies to help reduce the side effects of anti-rejection drugs. Renal services include consultation, acute and chronic dialysis, apheresis, and continuous renal replacement therapy.

We also specialize in the following diagnostic and therapeutic services:

  • Chronic Kidney Disease
  • Diabetes
  • HTN
  • Glomerular Disorders
  • Genetic Kidney Disease
  • Cystic Disease of the Kidney
  • Vascular Disease
  • Dialysis
