Skull Base Tumors

Skull Base Tumors | Advanced ENT Services

Skull base tumors are growths that form directly below or along the base of the skull. While most skull base tumors are benign, some are cancerous. Otologists and neurotologists at WMCHealth Physicians: Advanced ENT Services provide specialized care for benign and cancerous skull base tumors.

Skull Base Tumors

Some of the more common skull base tumors include acoustic neuroma (vestibular schwannoma), pituitary tumors, esthesioneuroblastomas (ENBs) and tumors of the nasal cavity and sinuses.

The signs and symptoms of skull base tumors can vary widely, depending on the type of tumor and its location. Headache, nausea, tinnitus, disruptions to sense of smell, hearing loss, loss of balance and blurred vision are some of the more common symptoms of skull base tumors.

At Advanced ENT Services, providers partner with specialists to treat skull base tumors while caring for the entire patient. These tumors can be disruptive to many bodily functions, including eating, breathing, speaking, hearing and facial expression. We understand the benefit of having an experienced team on your side when facing a diagnosis of a skull base tumor.
