Dr. Joseph Harburger graduated with distinction from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. After attending medical school at Yale School of Medicine, he completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He then served as an Attending Physician in Internal Medicine and was on Clinical Faculty at Yale. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Cardiology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City before accepting a position at Westchester Heart and Vascular.
Dr. Harburger's clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of all forms of cardiac and vascular disorders. He has experience in the fields of Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular Testing, Cardiac CT Angiography and has cared for patients with a wide spectrum of cardiovascular diseases. Most recently, Dr. Harburger authored a chapter describing the cardiac manifestations of Lyme Disease that is in press. Dr. Harburger grew up in Westchester County and is pleased to return to the area to practice Cardiology.
